The story of a life through pregnancy and after.

Hot hot hot...

With temperatures soaring to over 30 degrees C it's been boiling.

However, I have managed to go out and carry my huge bump around with me for some retail therapy. Yesterday I went out with Sindy to get a new light dress cause I cannot wear trousers in this weather and I cannot fit any longer in my old ones! Managed to get a nice patterned one from Mothercare and a pair of sandals too. To top it all off we had lunch in the pub near the river and chilled out in the shade sipping ice cold drinks.

Today we will just go to a nearby open air pool and try to stay cool in the water. Last time I went swimming I could hardly get out of the swimming pool, not because of the heat, but my belly was being pulled down by gravity so much I could hardly carry it. It's impressive - thought the earth gravity had increased but then I realized I had a squirming thing just underneath my stomach. Talking of stomach, I'm feeling so uncomfortable after having dinner, as if there is not enough space for both baby and a plate of pasta in the chest area!

Pregnant ladies take note: This makes a perfect excuse to get away with not doing the dishes and lie down on the sofa ;)

Legs are still killing me especially at night so maybe trying to relax in the water will help.

But enough with the complaining, the good thing is that this year we're having a proper summer and it feels like home! I have the best suntan in 4 1/2yrs (that's how long I've been living here). Who would believe me that I got THIS from London? :D
